Calorex Swimming Pool Heat Pumps UK
Calorex Swimming Pool Heat Pumps
Heat pumps are by no means a strange invention. Similar in operation to a refrigerator, they absorb energy in the form of heat and moisture from outside air, upgrading this energy to a usable form of heat through the unique ability of their refrigeration circuit. Heating your swimming pool with a Calorex heat pump could not be more straightforward and economic. At a cost that won't spoil the enjoyment you, not the weather, will be in control, ensuring your pool will always be at just the right temperature even when the sun isn't shining. Heat pumps are a very efficient way to heat your swimming pool, heat pumps can provide up to five times in relation to the amount of energy they consume.
-
Calorex Swimming Pool Heat pumps require no complicated gas supply oil tanks or flues.
-
Heat pumps can provide up to five units of energy for everyone unit paid for.
-
Heat pumps will operate from small capacity electrical supplies.
-
Heat pumps are easy to install, quiet in operation and as a result of their design, inherently reliable.
-
Heat pumps are fully automatic - all you have to do is set the thermostat to your required pool temperature.
Swimming Pool Heating
Heat pumps extract free energy from outside air over a variety of temperatures from -15°C to +40°C. This energy is harnessed by the heat pump for water heating, units incorporating suitable heat exchangers. Since only a small amount of electrical energy is required, heating output can be up to 5 times electrical input i.e. 500% efficiency. No boiler or electric heater can exceed 100%.
Why a Calorex Heat Pump?
Calorex is the world's leading manufacturer of swimming pool heat pumps and is renowned for it's innovation, range and quality of products. A proud claim, backed by over twenty five years of design, manufacturing and operational experience with thousands of units operating in hundreds of countries worldwide.
Calorex Heat Pump Efficiency
By careful design Calorex Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are capable of providing your pool with up to five units of absorbed heat for every one unit paid for. Even on a cloudy cold day when the temperature may only be 10°C, they will give three units for every one consumed.
The diagram to the left illustrates the way in which a heat pump absorbs, upgrades and transfers heat from outside air to swimming pool water. All Calorex heat pumps contain a fully sealed non-CFC refrigeration circuit which is specifically designed to operate as a swimming pool heat pump. This means that all components used in their construction are designed to give maximum efficiency at typical swimming pool temperatures. Furthermore, the choice of material and construction will give years of trouble free service.
How do they work?
These swimming pool pumps work in a similar way to a refrigerator, but instead of keeping things cold, it does the opposite and keeps the pool water warm.
The heating sequence for the pump works, firstly by pulling in fresh air and then running it through the compressor unit. The compressor then compresses the air inside the chamber increasing the energy thus heating the air up. Once the compression has completed, the hot air then heats the water via built-in heat exchanger and is then pumped out to the pool.
Calorex Compac Heat Pump Features:
- Extracts heat from the air and uses it to heat the pool water.
- For every 1kW of energy used. Approximately 4kW of energy is generated.
- 2 Years Warranty.
- Titanium Heat Exchanger.
- UK Support.
The Calorex Compac pool heat pump is environmentally friendly, with low energy consumption and a high heat production means that the Compac heat pump is great way to heat you swimming pool. With other alternative ways to heat your pool, the Compac produces no smells, fumes or CO2 gases. Another plus point for this pump is that there isn’t a requirement for a fuel tank.
Easy installation
Your Calorex Compac Pool Heat Pump should be installed outdoors with plenty of airflow to the unit itself. It is also recommended that you install the unit up stream of any pool purification system and chemical dosing systems. It is advised that you DO NOT add pool chemicals directly to the skimmer, which would mean concentrated chemical solutions passing through the Compac.
Low pool heating bills with a Calorex heat pump
The Calorex heat pump has been specifically engineered so that you only pay for the cost of running the motor. Making the Compac heater efficient and cost effective!
