Sta-Rite 5P2R Series pumps are precision molded of fiberglass reinforced, temperature and corrosion-resistant. This lightweight exceptionally strong thermoplastic is designed for much higher pressure operation than all the rest. Unequaled performance means: higher heads to 22,5 meters and flow rates up to 22m3/h. The S5P2R series are suitable for water with a salt content up to 0,4% Features:

What does it do?
An electrically operated water pump is the prime motivator in recirculating the water from the pool. Water is forced through a filter and then returned to the pool. A typical pool pump uses 500 watts to 2,000 watts. Residential pool pumps are typically run for 4 hours per day in winter (when the pool is not in use) and up to 24 hours in summer. To save electricity costs most people run for between 6 hours and 12 hours in summer with the pump being controlled by an electronic timer.
Some pool pumps have two motor speeds to reduce power consumption at times when full power is not needed. Other pump manufacturers have redesigned their units to use a smaller electric motor with heavier windings, therefore consuming less energy, to power a larger pump impeller. Variable-speed pumps reduce power consumption even more. The slow speed typically cleans better because smaller particles can be filtered. At the slow speed, minimal resistance in the pipes reduces the energy needed to move the water.
Most pool pumps available today incorporate a small filter basket termed a “hair and lint strainer” or “lint pot” as the last effort to avoid leaf or hair contamination reaching the close-tolerance impeller section of the pump

STA-RITE was founded over 75 years ago in Delavan, Wisconsin (USA) by William C Heath, then President of the A.O. Smith Corporation. From the beginning, Heath was driven to produce pumps “built right to stay right” – which, of course, led to the STA-RITE name. Heath’s success with Jets & Centrifugals in the early years led the company to quickly expand into 4” submersible pumps & motors. Today, Sta-Rite sells a wide range of pumps, motors, tanks, controls, and accessories in over 100 countries around the world.
Important Dates in STA-RITE History:1934 – STA-RITE founded, opens above a drug store in Delavan, WI1956 – Manufactures first 4”, 6”, and 8” submersible well pumps1970’s – Diversifies into Dairy, Communications, and Fluid Power products1982 – Sta-Rite acquired by WICOR Industries, goes "public' on the NYSE1985 – Purchases Flotec®, a retail pump line, in order to gain entry into the DIY market1986 - Purchases the BERKELEY® pump company from Transamerica
1991 – STA-RITE divests all non-water-related businesses in order to focus on our core strength1999 – Purchases Simer® brand of retail pumps, a leader in pumps for the hardware and home center markets2002 – STA-RITE acquires AERMOTOR® brand of complementary products (including 4” submersibles, jet pumps, centrifugals, and accessories).2004 – Acquired by water industry leader Pentair, Inc. to form a global water technology business to serve multiple industries worldwide.2011 – Today, Pentair® and STA-RITE continue to strengthen its offering in water technology, developing innovative solutions to bear on the world's ever-increasing water consumption needs.
